Privacy policy
Shekar is an app for learning Persian, published by TERESEC Pty Ltd (ABN 65 694 460 065), Queensland, Australia ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
We don't collect personal data
Shekar has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We don't run any server that the app sends information to.
What stays on your device
Your lesson progress (including a lesson you left part-way), scores and settings (such as the voice, speed and Persian font) are saved on your phone so you can pick up where you left off. Settings › Reset progress deletes the progress; uninstalling the app deletes everything. If your phone's backup is turned on (Google or iCloud), it may include them in your own backup; we have no access to it.
Pronunciation
The letter and word recordings are part of the app. Playing them happens on your phone and sends nothing anywhere. The app doesn't use the microphone.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Google Play and, on iPhone, by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only asks the store on your device whether your subscription is active. Google's and Apple's privacy policies apply to the payment.
This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting providers (Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare) process the technical data any website visit involves, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages.
Children
Shekar isn't directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
